The Tredalo^® is made of three main assemblies; the hulls, the sub-frame and the paddle wheel, all designed with usability and longevity in mind. The Tredalo^® breaks down into these subassemblies for ease of transportation and storage.

Steel is used throughout the design as offering the most cost effective means of achieving the required strength. Longevity is achieved via the use of galvanising for the sheet metal and mesh, and via the use of stainless steel for the main structural components such as the paddle wheel structure. This ensures that the Tredalo^® will provide lengthy service even in the harshest, salty sea, environment.

The craft is designed to support a maximum boarding mass of 200 kg (440 lb) and is wide enough for two adults, or one adult and two children to use comfortably.
